Who We Are

I've been collecting soul records since about 1971. I also seemed to have had a habit of forming Soul music magazines, or writing in them since about the mid 70s. I think an important part of collecting music and appreciating music, is sharing it with others. The advent of the internet and the adding of sound files to records that are for sale, has I suppose taken this to its logical conclusion. When I first started dealing professionally in records, in 1988, the art was in describing the records, usually in a condensed but snappy way. I still tend to do that as we add titles to the site.

When we first launched this site, the intention was to add a sound file to everything we put online, but it became apparent with a stock over over 250,000 records, that is just impossible. We are however always adding records with mp3s to the site. If you want a track playing down the phone, no problem. Ring me on 01964 631457.
